Kickstart Your Year: New Year, Brighter Brain Challenge Join our January Challenge: Meal Planning to Meet Your Health Goals, the powerful launch of our year-long Empowering Routines for Brain Health series! This hour-long class provides you with practical tools to establish systems to help you organize your food environment whether your priorities are heart health, inflammation, metabolic health or brain health. You’ll receive weekly meal planning charts, access to brain-boosting recipes, and strategies to make nutrition easy and effective. The challenge culminates in a Mid-Month Recipe and Strategy Share event to connect with class participants, troubleshoot challenges, and gain confidence. This is just the start! February Challenge: Heart & Mind Connect This February, in honor of American Heart Month, join our month-long challenge focusing on the powerful heart-brain connection! In this one hour class we will review the Heart & Mind Connect Challenge guiding you in practicing simple, proven techniques—including Heart Coherence Practice inspired by the HeartMath Institute—to reduce stress and enhance emotional balance. You'll learn how to maintain calm during social interactions, directly benefiting both your cognitive health and your cardiovascular system. Through daily tracking and our Mid-Month Heart & Mind Re-Connect, you’ll boost your social connections and emotional resilience. This is a vital part of our year-long commitment to Empowering Routines for Brain Health. Commit to a calmer, more connected heart and mind this month! Heart & Mind Connect Challenge Class: Wed. Stepping On

Thursday's @ 1pm-3pm Jan 15 - Feb 26, 2026

About the class This seven-week class meets once a week for two hours. This class helps participants learn strategies to reduce falls and increase strength. For this class, exercises are introduced in week one and then practiced throughout the remaining six weeks. Participants use weights to improve strength and balance throughout the program. The program also includes a follow-up home visit and a three-month “booster session” to review achievements and sustain efforts. You’ll learn: Simple and fun balance and strength exercises The role of vision in keeping your balance How medications can contribute to falls Ways to keep from falling when out in your community How to eliminate fall hazards from your home Stepping On® is an evidence-based program developed at the University of Sydney, Australia, and adapted for U.S. audiences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Classes are scheduled on Thursday's @ 1pm-3pm: Jan 15, no class on 22nd, 28 & Feb 5, 12, 19 and 26. Location: Avidor Edina 5220 Eden Ave, Edina

With a background in public health and behavior change, she uses evidence-based practices to support and inspire healthy lifestyles. She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing, an active Minnesota Nursing license, and certifications in Brain Health Coaching and neurodegenerative disease management.
